Program Offerings:

REVERIE Dreams of Harlem and Paris

“Reverie” takes the listener back to the early twentieth century through the perspectives of Black artists who were at the center of “Le Jazz Hot” and the legendary Harlem Renaissance. This program melds the two worlds with works like Ravel’s “Piano Trio in A minor,” Debussy’s Clair de Lune, Coleman’s “Portraits of Langston,” and “Cotton Club Juba,” and more.

PHENOMENAL WOMEN

This program – and these amazing musicians –  celebrate the virtuosity and resilience of women through Valerie Coleman’s original works. From the vivid storytelling of Florence, Italy, and a champagne bottle fight in Langston Hughes’ Parisian cabaret, to the fierce energy of a tennis match in Opus Serena, this captivating program brings new music to life with accessibility and unforgettable artistry.
